Bank Feed remains "For Review" after reconciliation

I'm using QBO.

A payroll direct deposit remains as "For Review" after reconciliation.

How can I clear the transaction from "For Review" to "Categorized"?

Thanks!

Hi there, seongmeekim.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing details on how transactions work in QuickBooks. Then, ensure that the payroll direct deposit will not appear anymore as "For Review" after reconciliation.

When you connect or link an account in QuickBooks, it automatically downloads and organizes bank and credit card transactions for you. It enters the details so you don't have to enter entries manually. Then, all of them will show in the For Review tab and all you have to do is review the transactions by matching or adding them. That said, I suggest making sure that you categorize the entry so it'll appear in the Categorized section and clear them.

If the payroll direct deposit entry still remains in the For Review tab, it could be the said entry is duplicate. With this, I suggest excluding this one to remove or clear it in the said section.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select the Banking tab.
  2. Choose the For Review tab.
  3. Select the checkbox of the entry to exclude.
  4. Click Exclude.

Once done, the transaction moves to the Excluded tab of the Banking page. Then, in case you accidentally exclude the wrong transaction, you'll just select the Excluded tab. Then, choose the checkbox for the transaction and select Undo. The transaction goes back to the For Review tab so you can decide what to do with it again.
