Bank Feed rules split categories on a transaction

Desktop 2023 - Bank Feed Rules -  Is it possible to create a rule and split the categories? The rule would be basically - whenever $1234.50 is deposited - split it into 2 categories - $1000. dues and 234.50 lunch fees.

I can share some information about splitting categories in QuickBooks Desktop, @hollywolly.

 

The feature to create a rule splitting a transaction in QuickBooks Desktop is currently unavailable. This would be a great addition to the current features that we have.

 

I invite you to provide input to our developers so that this feature can be added to future releases. Rest assured, I'll do the same on my end.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Select Send Feedback Online from the Help menu.
  2. Click the Product Suggestion from the drop-down menu.
  3. Fill out the on-screen instructions in the QuickBooks Feedback window.
  4. After that, click Send Feedback.

 

Here's more information on how you can create rules to categorize transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.
