Is there anyway to add a number into Bank Feed Rules?

In this instance, I am just looking to add DM for certain transactions.

Yes, in QuickBooks Desktop you can create bank feed rules to categorize transactions. I suggest using the parameter "Contains" and enter the number of characters that appears in the DM.

Here's how you can create a bank feed rule to categorize transactions:

  1. Go to the Banking menu, select Bank Feeds, and then Bank Feeds Center.
  2. On the Bank Feeds Center page, click on the Rules tab.
  3. Click on the New Rule button.
  4. In the Rule Name field, give your rule a descriptive name.
  5. In the "If this, then that" section, select Contains in the first dropdown.
  6. In the third field, enter the debit memo number you want to use as the basis for your rule.
  7. In The Payee Field section, select the account you want the transactions to be categorized.
  8. Click Save.

Now, when transactions from your bank feed match the debit memo number you specified, they will automatically be categorized into the account you selected in the rule. This can help streamline your bookkeeping process and ensure that your transactions are accurately categorized and recorded.

In addition, this article will guide you in recording refunds you received from a vendor.: Record a vendor refund in QuickBooks Desktop.
