bank feeds download

There has to be an answer to this.  I think it only happens when I am working remotely but I don't recall for sure.  I download bank transactions from my bank into QuickBooks Desktop 2020 Accountants Edition.  Occasionally, the little box that comes up requesting approval of the download gets lost or is hidden.  I've tried everything but QB is frozen and nothing works.  I eventually have to force close it through Task Manager.  What happens to the little box and how can I see/find it?

Thanks for visiting the Community today, LAPG.

I can see how beneficial for your business to be able to use QuickBooks Desktop smoothly. This allows you to perform other tasks in the program on time.

Let’s download and run the QuickBooks Tool Hub to resolve the unexpected behavior you’re experiencing while working in the desktop program. It only takes a few clicks to install the utility.

    1. Make sure to close your QuickBooks.
    2. Then, download the latest version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub and click Save File.
    3. Open the QuickBooksToolHub.exe link.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
    5. Once done, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool.

Next, lodge the Quick Fix my program tool run a quick repair on your program. Please know that it will shut down any open background processes QuickBooks uses.

    1. In the QuickBooks Tools Hub window, tap the Program Problems menu on the left panel.
    2. Then, press the Quick Fix my Program button and start your QuickBooks and the company file.

After performing all these steps, go back to the Bank Feeds Center and download the transactions. If you continue to get the same result, perform Solutions 2-3 in this article: QuickBooks has stopped working.

Additionally, these resources outline the complete steps on how to get your QuickBooks to open and resolve common online banking errors.
