Bank feeds failing saying the product is not registered

I have QB Desktop Pro Plus 2018 and I have been using the banking feeds for a while now.  I went to import the Web connect file and now I am getting an error message that says "You cannot use Bank Feeds because QuickBooks has not been registered. Solution: Go to the help menu and click on Register QuickBooks".  The problem is that when I go to the help menu, there is no option to register QB.  I have this product registered since I installed it.  How can I fix this?

Let's make sure that we sort this out so you can import your banking transactions, SCSVCS.

I'll also give you the steps that can resolve license and registration issues in QuickBooks Desktop. Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub to get the best result when using the tool. Save it somewhere you can easily find it
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
  6. Select Installation Issues, then click 3371 Error Fix.
  7. Click OK.

Once done, open QuickBooks and check if you can already import the Web Connect file.

You can also manually delete the registration or entitlement file. Here's how:

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.
  2. Type in "Run" into the search and open Run.
  3. Type C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8 and then Enter. If this doesn't open a folder, enter C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v6 instead.
  4. Find EntitlementDataStore.ecml. Right-click on it and select Delete.
  5. Click Yes to confirm.

Once done, open QuickBooks and your company file and register it again.

After successfully importing the bank transactions, here's an article that 'll guide you in assigning categories to them: Add and Match Bank Feed Transactions in QuickBooks Desktop
