I rec. an account but when I check the register a few transactions show up as uncleared. I checked to see if it was a duplicate transaction and it was not. I also I checked the changes tab as well and no changes have been made? why does the transition show up as uncleared even though it has been reconciled?

Hello there, @aggadgfdsfg.

I'm here to help fix the issue you're having with reconciled transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Since you've verified that there were no changes made and they're not duplicate transactions, it's possible that the browser is already full of frequently accessed page resources (cache and cookies), causing some unusual display or response. To isolate this, let's sign in to your QBO using a private browser (incognito).

Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari).

Once logged in, go back to the register to double-check. If everything looks good, return to your default browser and perform a clear cache to refresh the system. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.

If the same thing happens, we manually reconcile the uncleared transactions by changes their status in the register. Here's how to do it:

  1. In QBO, go to the Gear icon at the top right.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to review.
  4. From the Action column, click View register.
  5. Find the transaction and click the field to change the reconcile status “R” in the checkmark ✔ column.
  6. Blank status means the entry is not cleared or reconciled.
  7. Once done, hit Save
