I have purged my QBO to start from scratch and now my linked bank accounts are not showing any transactions. I wanted to completely restart so I can categorize my accounts properly now I’m completely lost. How can I fix this issue

Welcome to the Community, @Boldwearco.

Let me share insights on why you’re no longer seeing your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The reason why these transactions are not downloading to your company file is caused by the purging process. When you purge an account, all data including online banking associated with it will be deleted along with its transactions. Additionally, this process can’t be reverted.

To rectify this one, you’ll want to link your bank again. Please note that transactions that are older than 90 days will no longer be automatically downloaded. However, you can manually upload them to enable you to reconcile them.

Here’s how you can link your online banking account:

  1. From the left menu, click the Banking menu and then choose the Banking tab.
  2. On the Banking page, select the Link account.
  3. In the Search field, enter the bank's URL.
  4. Select your bank. If you see multiple options, you may have to repeat these steps to find the correct one.
  5. Enter your bank login on your bank's website, then select Continue.

Your most recent transactions will then be downloaded by QuickBooks instantly. To effectively maintain your financial information, you can categorize these transactions and put them into the correct accounts.

Alternatively, for transactions that were not downloaded automatically, you can bring in them using a WebConnect file. Furthermore, learn to reconcile them to review and ensure that your books are balanced.
