Question

banking

My bank recently changed its passwords to change every 30 seconds. They gave me a fob that shows me the password. I have always had my bank account attached to quickbooks but since the change I cannot get it to connect because the password changes so often. Has anyone had to deal with this issue? If so, is there a solution? Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out to us, @amandavis01.

I'll be glad to help you with your bank concern.

Some banks would require passwords. This is to safeguard your account. With this, QuickBooks depends on the security protocol your bank has implemented.

To update your credentials in QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. Choose Banking.
  2. Select Update
  3. Enter your updated username and password in one of the following ways:
    • If Error 103 appears, choose the Reconnect my account link and enter your new username or password.
    • If no error message appears, select the Edit next to the bank name, select Edit sign-in info, and provide your updated bank website username or user ID and password.
  4. Select Save and connect
  5. Click I'm done, Let's go!
