Can a bank be linked with 2 different versions of QB?  Like QBO and QB Desktop Pro 2021?

Thank you for any answers.

Hello there, @cmercure. I can share some insight about linking a bank to QuickBooks.

I recommend checking with your financial institution to see if they can connect to both versions of QuickBooks.

If your bank offers Web Connect, you can view online banking transactions stored on its website. The transactions are imported and made available on your bank feeds. If your bank does not, you may need to download the use the QBO file to access these transactions from the bank's website.

 Here's how:

  1. From Banking, select Bank Feeds, then Import Web Connect Files.
  2. Select the QBO file you saved, then select Open.
  3. When prompted to select your bank account:
  • Use a QuickBooks account that already exists if the account you're importing transactions into is already set up in QuickBooks.
  • Create a new QuickBooks account if the account you're importing transactions into isn't in QuickBooks yet. Learn how to create an account.

4. Select Continue. You'll see a dialog box telling you that the data has been successfully read into QuickBooks. Select OK.

5. Go to the Bank Feeds Center to review your transactions.

I added some link that you can use as your future reference with banking transactions:
