Banking updates with generic bank descriptions

Hello, 

I was wondering if anyone had a problem with their latest bank updates? 

We’ve noticed that the Description in QB no longer give exact location ie: Giant, Home Depot, Exxon for debit card transactions. Now it says either “ Route Withdrawal” or “Withdrawal Processed”.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) depends on the information shared by your bank when downloading transactions.


You can reach out to your bank to know if they have changes or issues that can affect the debit card transactions' description. Then, you can manually update your bank feeds to get the updated entries with the right details.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select the Banking tab.
  3. Click Update.
