beginning bank balance error

I'd be glad to help you correct your beginning bank balance in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

If there are changes that affect your account, you'll get a message before reconciling.

To ensure that you'll get to correct the balance, you can run a discrepancy report to determine any discrepancies on your bank statement.

Here's how:
 

1. Click the We can help you fix it link to open your discrepancy report.



2. Review the discrepancy report. You can use it to decide how to make changes.
3. Before editing anything, talk with whoever made the changes.

Review each transaction on the report one at a time once you've decided you need to make corrections:

1. Select View to see the history of changes to the transaction.
2. Review the Change Type column. This shows what has changed.



3. Make changes based on the message in the Change Type column.

You can also run a Reconciliation report as an alternative to see reconciled discrepancies. Here's how:

1. In your QBO account, go to the Reports tab.
2. In the Search box, type in Reconciliation Report.
3. Choose the account you want on the Account drop-down.
4. You can also filter the Report Period.



5. Once done filtering, select the View Report.



Once done, you can then review your transactions, and you can also choose to print the report.
