My wife accidently disconnected a bank account we no longer use and have access to. Can the information be recovered on the QB side?

Welcome to the Community, @stuartmudge@yaho. I'm here to provide information about the disconnected bank account in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

When a bank account is disconnected from QBSE, all transactions allocated to it whether categorized or not will also be removed. For reference, please check this article: Delete bank and transaction data in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You may want to reach out to our Customer Care team to help you recover the deleted data. Here's how:

  1. In your QBSE company file, select the Help menu.
  2. Next, click Contact us.
  3. From the What can we help you with? box, enter your concern and select Continue.
  4. Then, choose either the Call or Chat option to connect to them.

On the other hand, you can reconnect the account if possible or manually import the transaction into the program.

I've also added this helpful resource that you can open for guidance in categorizing bank transactions to match your Schedule C: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please let me know how the interaction with the support goes. I'm always here ready to help if you have any other follow-ups about managing bank accounts in QBSE. Feel free to post here again at any time. Have a great day ahead.
