Can anyone give me advice on reconciling an account that was not done in 2020 at all?

If your bank statement does not match at the end of reconciliation,know the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

To Reconcile in QuickBooks Online:

Here's how:

1. Click on the Gear button, then on “Tools” and then “Reconcile.”
2. Click on the drop-down menu under “Accounts” and select the account you want to reconcile.
3. Enter the “Ending balance” and “Ending date” based on your bank statement.
4. Match transactions to your bank statement and check them off one by one.
5. Apply filters so transactions are easier to locate.
6. Continue with the process until the “Difference” field is zero.
