It's a pleasure to have you here today, @ESM41. I'll provide more details about reconciling an account inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Yes, you can reconcile transactions manually without going through the Categorize and Match process. Also, when you manually enter a transaction to an account in your Chart of Accounts, you'll want to ensure it contains the correct details in the Account, Payee, and other fields to record them accurately inside the system.

To reconcile, these are the steps:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, click the Transactions tab and select Chart of accounts.
  3. Locate the bank where you manually entered the transactions and then click View register.
  4. Review the details you added to the transaction and then click the empty section below the ✔ column until it shows R.
  5. Once done, click the Save button.

If you can't connect your bank, or they're not on the list of financial firms that can integrate with QBO, know there's an option to import bank transactions, so you won't have to enter them manually inside the program.
