Question

Can I change the date when bank transactions are linked to QBO? I purchased the product in July? Can I go back to January instead?

Hello there, tegge.

I have some information regarding the downloaded bank transactions and help edit their dates.

QuickBooks will download the 90-days or less of your entries when you connect an account for online banking. This process is automatic and can't be opted out of.

The good news is, you can download this year's transactions from your bank. Then, manually import them to QuickBooks.

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Banking, then select Upload from file from the Link account drop-down.
  2. Drag the Excel file or click select files, then click Continue.
  3. In the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down, select the account you want to upload the transactions into, then Continue.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then Continue.
  5. Select the transactions you would like to import, then Continue.
  6. When you're ready, select Let's go.

If you see an error message, don't worry. Here's how to fix errors while uploading your transactions. Once your transactions are in QuickBooks, it's time to match and categorize them. The transactions go into your accounts after you review them.
