Can i create a business account (non profit) and personal account with QBO?

I understand that keeping your companies in one account can help you manage them more efficiently. However, in QBO, know that one company file is equivalent to one subscription. You can purchase a new subscription and proceed to create your secondary non-profit or personal account.

If you purchased another subscription and want to add a second company, you can put this company under your existing Intuit ID. This way, you can switch between different business or personal accounts you own to manage them efficiently. I'll input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:

 

  1. Open this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/.
  2. Select your country and you'll be directed to your region's website.
  3. Choose the version of QuickBooks Online that you need.
  4. Select to Buy Now or start a Free Trial.
  5. Fill in the necessary information on the Create an Intuit account or Sign up page.
  6. Click Sign In or Add another account if you have an existing QBO account and want to use the same credentials. If not, click on Choose a different user ID to create a new one.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue the process.

I currently have two company accounts with Quickbooks online.  I would like to add my personal checking account as well.  Is there a way to do that without paying for another account since it is a not for profit personal account?

If you do, please note that each company file requires its subscription. In that case, you would need to purchase a separate plan to set up a new account for your personal checking account.

However, if you meant adding the checking account to one of your existing companies, we can do that by connecting it. Yes you do. Keep in mind, you should signup for 2 separate QBO accounts.
