Can I deposit cash into my quickbooks checking account?

Currently, depositing cash directly into your QuickBooks Checking account is unavailable. Instead, you can deposit funds into an external bank account and transfer the money.

Once you have deposited cash to an external bank, it's necessary to link the account in order to transfer funds.

Here's how: 

1. Go to Cash Flow, then select QuickBooks Checking.
2. Select Transfer and then click to transfer money between your accounts. You're not going to transfer money yet. You'll just have to start the connection.
3. Select Add a bank.
4. Enter your bank's name and select your Account Type.
5. Type in your Account number and Routing number info. 
6. Click Next.

QuickBooks will send two small deposits to your account within three business days. Once you see the deposits, you'll need to verify them.

Here's how: 

1. Go to Cash Flow, then click QuickBooks Checking.
2. Select Verify bank, or you can select Add if verification is not needed.
3. Provide the two amounts deposited by QuickBooks.
4. Select Confirm.

After completing the steps above, you can transfer money into your checking account. Here's how:

1. Go to Cash flow, then select QuickBooks Checking 
2. Select Transfer, then click Transfer money.
3. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
4. In the From dropdown, choose your connected bank account.
5. In the To dropdown, select your QuickBooks Checking account.
6. Hit Next and hit Finish transfer.

If you wish to deposit a check in the future, you can use a mobile check deposit using your QuickBooks or QuickBooks Money mobile apps.
