Can I download 1099 forms? Clicking on download opens a pop up window to force you to create a new QB self employed account. Any way around this?

My wife was sent an electronic link to download 1099-Misc form. Logging in with her password I can get to the download page but when I click download it opens a pop-up window that forces you to sign up for a new self-employed account with QB. I don't want to do that because I already have an account I use for filing. I just want to get the download. Any way around this?

Thanks for posting your concern here in the Community, @jane-getpositive. 

 

I'm here to make sure that you'll be able to download the 1099-Misc form.

 

The link that you're wife received from her email indicates that your clients already submitted your 1099-MISC to the IRS. Once you've successfully opened it, this should automatically route you to the QuickBooks Self-Employed page that gives you the Clients menu to print and view the form.

 

With that being said, you may consider getting in touch with our phone support team to have this check and identify what might be causing this glitch. Here's how:

 

  1. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  2. Enter the same keyword (Talk to a human) when prompted. 
  3. Click I still need a human.
  4. Select between Message an agent and Get a callback.
