I need to see where edits were done to fraudulent checks because the system admin had access to login information and the system admin is no longer working with us

Thank you for turning to the Community about your concern, holly.

Let me show you where to look for the modifications made to your checks. I'm here to make sure the process goes smoothly for you.

The function to get the IP addresses of linked transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is currently unavailable. We can open the Audit Log report to provide you with a more detailed picture of your data history.

To access the report:

  1. In your company, go to the Gear icon at the top of your company and choose the Audit Log under Tools.
  2. Tap the User drop-down and select All Users.
  3. Pick the correct period from the Date Changed drop-down.
  4. In the Events drop-down, choose Show All Events.

From there, look for the checks you're working on and head to the User column to see who modified the entries. For more in-depth information about the process, see the following reference: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online
