Welcome to the Community, @DiggerDan. I want to ensure you'll be able to set up your QuickBooks Checking account.

If you've signed up for a Payments account, you can only apply for one QuickBooks Checking account. Once approved, you're the only person that can move funds to and from that account. You can read this article for more information: Sign up for QuickBooks Payments.

However, there are cases where other users (Primary or Company admin roles) or co-owner want to apply for a QuickBooks Checking account. They can do this by going through the same sign-up process. This is possible as long as they have their own Payments account. Please check this article for a detailed guide: Learn more about QuickBooks Checking.

Once ready, here's how to sign up for a QuickBooks Checking account:

  1. In your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company, navigate to the Banking or Cashflow menu.
  2. Then, select QuickBooks Checking.
  3. From there, click Apply in minutes and follow the steps to proceed.

I'll also include this helpful resource that you can access to ensure your accounts balance in QBO matches your real-life bank statements: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

I'm always here ready to lend a hand if you have any other concerns about adding your checking accounts in QBO. Feel free to post again here. Stay safe.
