We are considering a move from Sage Intacct to QB Online Advanced and would need to import a massive amount of data/attachments.  Is this possible?

You can purchase a 3rd party conversion service.

Hi there, tetienne-canyonr. I'll help you import your data from Sage Intacct to QuickBooks Online.

Yes, it is possible to import data from Sage Intacct to QuickBooks Online. Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online support data import/export functionality, allowing you to transfer financial data between the two systems.

Before converting your Sage to QuickBooks Online, we'll need to convert it first to Desktop and then Online. To ensure a trouble-free data conversion, you should check a few things before using the tool.

  • Export data from Sage Intacct: In Sage Intacct, you can export your desired data, such as charts of accounts, lists of customers, vendors, and items, and transactional data like invoices, bills, and journal entries. Sage Intacct provides export options like CSV (Comma-Separated Values) or Excel files.
  • Prepare data for QuickBooks Online: After exporting data from Sage Intacct, you may need to reformat or convert the data to a compatible format for QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Online supports various file formats for data import, including CSV, Excel, and QBO (QuickBooks Online) files.
  • Map data fields: Before importing the data into QuickBooks Online, you should map the fields from your exported data to the corresponding fields in QuickBooks Online. For example, map the account codes, customer names, or item codes from Sage Intacct to the appropriate fields in QuickBooks Online.

After correctly mapping your data, you can begin converting it to QuickBooks Desktop. To start, ensure your computer meets the minimum requirements and then download a trial of QuickBooks Desktop.

To discover how to transfer data from Sage using QuickBooks Conversion Tool. You can follow this article: Convert from Sage to QuickBooks Desktop.

Then, let's run the conversion tool. Make sure to run it with Windows administrator rights for proper conversion.

  1. Download the QuickBooks Conversion Tool.
  2. Go to the folder where you saved it and select the tool.

I looked into the Conversion Tool and it only talked about converting from Sage 50 Peachtree not Sage Intacct.  Please confirm.  I'm more interested in outsourcing the conversion - would attachments move as well?

Thank you.
