Allow me to share some information about reconciling an expense account and guide you on what to do, accounts492.
For now, you can only reconcile selected accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO) such as your bank, Other Current Asset, Fixed Asset, credit card, Other Current and Long Term Liabilities, and Equity accounts. You'll want to reconcile using your bank and credit card statement. Then, review all the expense transactions once you'll be able to settle the balances. To start with your reconciliation, follow the steps below:
Start with the first transaction on your statement.
Find the same transaction in the Reconciliation window in QuickBooks.
Compare the two transactions. If they match, put a checkmark next to the amount in QuickBooks. This marks it as reconciled.
If a transaction doesn't appear on your statement but you see it in QuickBooks, don't put a checkmark.
Compare each transaction on your statement with what's in QuickBooks.
