Question

Can I see the amounts deducted by Square for fees and loan payments in Quickbooks Online, when the deposit is made? What is the correct way to set up?

Hello there, @Cmjam.

Thanks for visiting the Community for your concern. As an insight, Square fees are imported automatically by default when it's synced with QuickBooks. Unless you've set up different mappings on the settings page.

You'll want to run a report on Square fees. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu, then choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account Square Fees (or the account under which you are recording Square fees).
  3. Click Run Report, then click any of the Square fees and go to the imported record.

Here's how to sync Square in QuickBooks:

  1. Select Apps from the left menu.
  2. Select Find apps at the top.
  3. In the Search apps field, enter Square and select Connect to Square.
  4. Select Get App Now.
  5. Follow the prompts to complete the process. Make sure to allow Intuit to access your Square account.
