Can I set up QuickBooks Payments so I am notified of deposits by email?

I know I can look in the Deposits section to get this info, but I want to be able to get it in an email so I can quickly and easily share it with colleagues.

Thank you for taking time posting in the Community, @financestaff.

 

I see the importance of being on track with your deposits, it's my pleasure to help you set up QuickBooks (QB) Payments.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select Payments links tab.
  2. Click Get started.
  3. Enter your business, personal, and payment deposit details on the Set up online payments page.
  4. Click Get set up.

 

Once done, you can check if it's automatically turned on. If not, you can activate it. Follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Payments.
  3. Click Connect QuickBooks Payments.

 

That should do it! I also got an article for you whenever you're ready to get paid: Take and process payments in QuickBooks Online.
 

Then, to get notifications with the deposits, you can sign in to the Merchant Service Center and check the email alerts. Refer to the steps below:

 

  1. Locate the Account menu and select Settings & Alerts.
  2. Go to Email Alerts section and choose Yes for Receive Credit Card Deposit Notification.
  3. Select Save Changes.
  4. Go back to the Account and click Account Profile to ensure your email is correct. Make changes if needed and select Submit.

Thank you, Stephanie.  What you describe is what I want to do.  However when I go to the settings and alerts section of the merchant service center, I don't see options for email alerts.  I see this:

Grr.  Can't upload screenshot.

 

Under setting and alert heading,  all I see is 

 

-Preferences

   Select Landing Page

-Ecommerce Address Verification

 

Nothing about email notifications.
