It's nice to see you in the Community. I'm here to provide information on how you can upload the budget by using spreadsheet sync.

To maintain the security of your budget information and keep your company insights up to date, it is important to have Spreadsheet Sync installed on your system. Once installed, log in to Spreadsheet Sync using your QuickBooks credentials. Please take note that only Admin users can access spreadsheet sync.

Here's also how you can get started with Spreadsheet Sync for QuickBooks Online Advanced to use spreadsheets to create custom charts and graphs using data from QuickBooks.

For further information on how Spreadsheet Sync enables synchronization between Excel and your QBO Advanced account, please see this link: What's Spreadsheet Sync?

Additionally, you may want to check out this article as your reference to guide you in resolving common errors that may occur when utilizing Spreadsheet Sync in QBO: Spreadsheet Sync troubleshooting.

Let me know if you have further questions about budgets in QuickBooks. I'm always here to assist. Have a wonderful day.

We appreciate you getting back here in the thread, Eleazar.

Before anything else, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for getting back here in the thread and for allowing us to help you with your query. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can create budget by class, but doing it by location isn't possible.

A workaround to get you through this is to ensure class and location are enabled or turned on inside the company file. You can also upload it through a CSV file if the spreadsheet sync doesn't work. If you wish to proceed with uploading the CSV file, we'll gladly write the steps below.

You'll want to download a budget template. These are the steps:

  1. Go to Settings, and select Budgeting.
  2. Select the Create budget dropdown ▼ and select Import budget.
  3. Select the Sample.csv link to download the template.
  4. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like the downloads folder on your computer.

For more details, see Upload a budget using a .csv file section inside this article: Create budgets in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, we've got these articles to help you learn more about what data you can get into your company, modify your business report and keep their settings for future use inside QBO:
