Thanks for asking the Community today, @lori-hopsonmobil

QuickBooks Online is designed to track your business income and expenses. Though you can connect as many business and personal accounts as you want, it's always a best practice to keep your business and personal transactions separate.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping menu, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Click Connect account on the landing page.
  3. Search for your bank, then click Continue
  4. Sign into your bank by entering your banking username and password, then follow the onscreen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks.
  5. Select any accounts you want to connect like your savings, checking, or credit card.

From there, choose the matching account type from your chart of accounts in QuickBooks.

You also want to consider adding new QBO account intended to record your personal transactions only. Or you can also subscribe to Intuit Mint, which is designed for managing personal finances.
