Hi there, aboveandbeyond19.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community and thank you for choosing QuickBooks Online as your accounting program. I'll be sharing details on how your company data works after deactivating. Then, to ensure you can reactivate the account smoothly.

When you deactivated QuickBooks Online, Intuit stores your company data for 365 days after the cancellation date. With this, you can read-only access for 1 year and if you resubscribe within that time, your data will still be available. I recommend resubscribing to QuickBooks Online so you can restore the deactivated one. Please know that you have to pay another amount for this account.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your deactivated QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click the Gear icon ⚙ at the top.
  3. Under Your Company, choose Account and Settings
  4. Select Billing & Subscription and Resubscribe. Then, enter the updated billing information.
  5. Click Subscribe.

After that, you'll have to log out of your QBO account and log in again. Then, go to the Gear icon so you can visit again the Billing & Subscription section. That way, you'll be able to see the next charge date to prevent back-billed charges from occurring.

On the other hand, you have the option to request a refund for a QuickBooks product you purchased that you won't be using. If you paid for an annual subscription for QuickBooks Online, and it’s within 60 days of the purchase date, you’re eligible for a refund under our satisfaction guarantee. There are some exceptions, so check our return policy for details. Please know that the 60-day money-back guarantee does not apply to monthly QBO subscriptions.

Lastly, I'm adding this article to further guide you in working your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about accounting, banking, and payments to name a few.

Please let me know if there's anything else you need help with your subscription. I'm always here to help you anytime, aboveandbeyond19. Take care and keep safe!
