Question

Can someone help with a reconcile issue?

I started to reconcile my bank account and none of my uploaded transactions show in the reconcile.  My credits were double and debits were not there.  I did the undo on all transactions for July and added them again, still nothing when I am trying to do the reconcile.  July transactions show in the P&L.  Any help would be appreciated.

Good day, kathy146! I can help you with your reconciliation issue.

There are possible reasons why bank transactions won't go through on the Reconciliation page.

First, let's make sure to upload bank data using the correct format. Learn about CSV formats. This will serve your reference when bringing transactions into the program and prevent us from getting double credits.

Then, let's go to the Reconciliation page and apply the appropriate date and other options.

  1. Click the Funnel icon.
  2. Customize the date correctly.
  3. Set the Status and Transaction type to All. Also, we can select Payments, Deposit, or All to view the bank data.
  4. Click Apply to reflect the changes.

If they're still not showing, let's go back to the Banking page and ensure to add or match them. We'll have to do this to make them visible when reconciling accounts in QuickBooks. Find the transactions with the Match/Add option in the Action column. Feel free to use this article for your guide: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Once done, the uploaded transactions should now be visible when reconciling your accounts. If the same thing happens, let's try using an incognito window or other supported web browsers in QBO

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox ).
  • Control Option (Safari).

For the duplicate transactions, we can exclude them to keep your accounts accurate:

  1. Go to the For review tab.
  2. Select the checkbox for each transaction you want to exclude.
  3. Select Exclude.
