My home depot card is a consumer card and was used as just that.  4 weeks ago i paid off and started using for bus account is there a way when connecting my CC to adjust the transactions so that my personal ones are not added to my account.  I would like them to be totally seperated and if possible only have the option to catagorize since started using for company and not personal use.  Takes out all the confusing and mess and totally seperates personal and business expenses on same card period. Even if go through and categorize it still shows the transactions and options to categorize i appreciate any feed back as cant get any help from the QB team

Good day, ntabtab37. We see the importance of separating personal expenses and your intention to download business transactions only in QBO. Let us help you with what we can do to achieve these goals.

We can manually import your bank or credit card transactions without personal expenses into QBO. The steps below will show you how to do it:

  1. Pick a start date. To avoid entering duplicates, we need to know the date of the oldest existing transactions currently in the account by going to View register and looking for the credit or bank account you want to upload transactions into.
  2. Get transactions from your bank by signing in to your bank or credit card's website.
  3. Review the file format and size.
  4. Manually upload it, either accounts connected to online banking or the one that is not.

Have this article for detailed steps: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, if you want to stay on downloading your bank transactions automatically, we can create a bank rule to categorize transactions from your personal and business transactions after importing them to QBO. You can read this article for the following steps: Set up bank rules to categorize online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Concerning your bank transactions that can't be separated even after you categorize them, we can exclude them. Here's how:

  1. On the left panel, click Transactions. Then, select Bank transactions.
  2. Choose a tile below Bank transactions where personal transactions are there.
  3. In the For review section, find those transactions. After that, tick the box of each transaction you want to exclude.
  4. A prompt will show in the For review section. Choose Exclude.

You can also click this article for more info: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.
