Hi there, lafayettecarwash.

Thanks for contacting the Community for support. I'd be happy to provide some insight about downloading your QuickBooks Online file to a flash drive.

QuickBooks Online is constantly backed up in the cloud on a secure server, so you know your data is always safe. At this time there isn't an option to send a back up file to a flash drive. One option would be to export the QBO data to QuickBooks Desktop, if you have that version already. If you don't, you can download a trial version to use for the time being. Trial Desktop accounts can be found here: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1207255-quickbooks-desktop-trial-links

I can see how it would be beneficial to be able to save a QBO file to a flash drive. I'll do my part and send the Product Development Team a message to let them know you'd like to have this ability.

You can view feature releases and product updates by visiting the QuickBooks Blog: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/.

Wishing you the best of luck. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any other questions.

Is it still no longer possible to back-up QB online to a flash drive? My accountant is requesting this for my business tax preparation. Fingers crossed...

Welcome to the Community, @sfredacorp.

I can see how the workflow you're looking for is beneficial to you and your business. At this time, this feature is still unavailable.

For the time being, you can export reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online to acquire the data you need within the system. We take our customers suggestions as a guide on which area of the product we should improve.

I’ll send feedback on your behalf for consideration in future updates. To keep you updated about the latest features being rolled out, visit the QuickBooks Blog page.

For future reference, I'm attaching the Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online article. It provides detailed instructions and visual guide on the process.

Please know the Community has your back. If you have additional questions, click the Reply button and post a comment. I’m here ready to assist further. Enjoy the rest of the day.

I am needing to down load just one year of files... is there a way to do that?

Hello there, Baires Construction.

I want to ensure that my solution fits your concerns. With that, can you tell me what type of files you want to download? And for what year are these?

I'll be keeping an eye on your response.
