Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, accounts-thedata. Let's perform some steps to ensure you can add an employee's name to each payroll entry.

Yes, you can get payroll transactions visible in Bank data and customize them to add employee names. To do this, I recommend going to the For review section and clicking it to expand the page so you can see the option to assign an employee's name under Vendor/Customer field.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Bookkeeping menu and choose Transactions. Then, select Bank transactions.
  2. Select the tile for the account you want to review or for payroll.
  3. Choose the For review tab.
  4. Locate all payroll entries and click each of them to extend the page.
  5. Go to the Vendor/Customer drop-down arrow and select a specific employee.

After that, you can categorize your payroll transactions by adding or matching them to those already entered into QuickBooks. This is to avoid having duplicate entries.

Lastly. you may refer to this article to view several payroll reports you can use to view useful information about your business and employees: Run payroll reports in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
