I can help you with adding your journal entries, @shawna-barlette-.

The option to import your journal entry in a .csv file is currently unavailable. That would be a great addition to the current features that we have, so I'll take note of it. I also encourage you to leave feedback from within the product.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Provide your product suggestion.
  3. Click on Next to submit feedback.

You may consider adding them manually one by one or find a third-party app that works well and can integrate with QuickBooks Online that can import your .csv file.

Here's how to add a journal entry:

  1. Go to the + New button and select Journal Entry
  2. Enter your debit and credit amounts.
  3. Provide all necessary information.
  4. Click on Save and new or Save and close.

Check out the following article for more information about when and why we enter journal entries: Create journal entries in QuickBooks Online

You can check for supported apps through the QuickBooks Apps Store or from the Apps menu.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Apps menu at the left pane to get to the Finds Apps page.
  2. Enter a keyword in the Search address.
  3. Select the app you want to use.
  4. Click on the Get app now button.

Refer to this article to see the list of what you can be imported to QBO: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you need further help importing your journal entries. I'm always here to help. Have a great rest of the day!

You know, I find this response SUPER WEIRD.

Back in January 2023 you posted an article about doing this very thing:
https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-au/help-article/import-export-files/import-journal-entries-quickbooks-online/L4tQBwbs7_AU_en_AU?uid=lltoaym5

From the article:

Step 2: Import your journal entries

Note: You can turn on class tracking to import journal entries with classes.

  1. Go to Settings ⚙️, then select Import Data.
  2. Select Journal Entries.
  3. On the Download page, select BrowseNote: If you need help formatting your journal entries, select Download a sample file.
  4. Find and select your CSV or Excel file. Select Open, then Next.
  5. Map your information. Your Field represents the headers on your spreadsheet. From each small arrow ▼ icon, select the one that matches a field in QuickBooks Online.
  6. Select Next. If there’s an error, edit the file and try again.
  7. Select Start import.
  8. Select Done.

Kinda strange when you come in and say this doesn't exist.  but not so strange when you consider that quicken is pushing a 3rd party SaaS solution that does this.   Seriously what serious accounting software can say with a straight face that they can't do CSV import??  thats like having a spreadsheet program that can't do SUM.

@shawna-barlette-

Prepare your JE data with the following template

then use an importer tool to proceed
