Can we refresh the RECEIVE PAYMENT screen without being thrown out and having to start completely over with entering my deposit?

 I am in the receive payment screen and had to change an invoice amount. How do I refresh the screen without being thrown out and having to start completely over with entering my deposit?

I'm here to share some information about the Receive Payment screen in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @libertyfishing-s.

 

The option to refresh the Receive Payment screen without being thrown out of the page is unavailable. When you try to close the page or click any buttons aside from Save and close, you'll be prompted with the message "Do you want to leave without saving?."

 

You can save the received payment transaction that you initially created. Edit the invoice. Go back to the receive payment transaction to update it.

 

Proceed to the customer's profile to find and edit the payment transaction. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Sales menu and proceed to the Customers tab.
  2. Find and click the customer's name.
  3. Locate the payment transaction and select open it. 
  4. Update the necessary information.
  5. Click on Save and new or Save and close once done.
