Can we set permanent exchange rate for transactions in QB online? We don't want the exchange rate change.

Hi there. We'll share details about setting up exchange rates inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before anything else, please know that QBO uses an exchange rate sourced from IHS Markit, resulting in a daily fluctuation of the displayed rate in your QBO account according to the current exchange rate.
 
Inside the program, you can modify an exchange rate for the selected currency. However, please know that you can only do it for a day, and it'll return to its default rate the next day. That being said, the option to set it permanently is unavailable inside QBO.

If you wish to continue using your preferred rate, you'll need to manually edit the exchange rate to use it for the transactions. We'll write down the steps to get you going:

1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
2. On the top right corner, click the Gear icon and then select Account and settings.
3. Select Advanced.
4. In the Currency section, select the Manage Currencies link.
5. Find the exchange rate you want to update and select Edit currency exchange in the Action column.
6. Select Save.
