Question

Can you change the number of days you go back to carrying over bank transactions? For example, mine carried over a full year, but can I change it to just 90 days?

I can help you manage your bank feeds after migrating to QuickBooks Online (QBO), sjs.

To select a specific range of transactions to be pulled from your account while connecting it, we can choose to customize the date instead of choosing to start a complete year. Since you're starting from a fresh migration from QuickBooks Desktop, I'll show you how we can customize these dates in QBO to start downloading within 90 days' worth of transactions:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu, and tap the Link account button.
  2. Search for the bank, and click the Continue button.
  3. Once you have chosen what account to connect, you can scroll down to the bottom to choose when QuickBooks will pull transactions.
  4. From the dropdown, select Custom, and choose the dates.
  5. Then, hit the Connect button.

In addition, there are some articles available that you may find helpful in categorizing your transactions and reconciling your account. Doing so will help you avoid any discrepancies in your books. You can refer to these articles to ensure that all your transactions are categorized appropriately:
