Glad to see you here in the Community, Rance.

Yes, it's possible to deposit a check into the QuickBooks Checking. I'd happily walk you through the steps to deposit a check into QuickBooks Checking.

We can deposit the payment first to the connected bank account of your QuickBooks Checking. Let me show you how to do it:

  1. Go to +New and select Bank Deposit.
  2. From the Account dropdown, choose the account you want to put the money into.
  3. Tick the checkbox for each transaction if your want to combine.
  4. From there, ensure that the total of the selected transactions matches your deposit slip. You can use it as a reference.
  5. Click Save and Close or Save and New.

For more details about entering deposits, you can review this guide: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooks Online.

From there, proceed to put the money into the QB Checking account. I'll show you how to do it:

  1. From the Business services menu, choose QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Click Transfer and select the option to transfer money between your accounts.
  3. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
  4. In the From field, select (+). Then choose your connected bank account.
  5. In the To field, select your QuickBooks Checking account.
  6. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
  7. Once you're ready, select Finalize transfer.
