Question

Can you revise an edited transaction? I'm making corrections to a transaction, (whether it's checking the box or expanding the transaction details), and it doesn't save.

Hello there, raerock13.

I'm here to help you modify a transaction you uploaded from your bank in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Once you add and select the right details for your transactions, QuickBooks puts your transactions on the correct line of your Schedule C. Also, making changes to your transaction will affect your income and expenses.

To edit a transaction:

  1. Go to Transactions menu.
  2. Find the transaction you want to modify.
  3. Select the ► icon to expand the transaction.
  4. To change the type and category, select the link in the Type or Category column.
  5. Once done, hit Save.

I've also added this link to guide you in categorizing transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

To learn more about the different Schedule C categories, check out this article: Schedule C and expense categories in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I want to make sure you have everything you need. Please let me know in the comments if you still need help assistance or have any questions about your QBSE transactions. I'll be here to check on your response. Take care.
