Nice to meet you, userdominique1. I'd like to share information on how we fix your bank and QuickBooks balance.

If your QuickBooks balance doesn't match your actual bank balance, several factors may cause the balances to vary. It would be best to verify why they don't coincide and fix them accordingly.

Here is some reason why balances do not match:

  • Outstanding transactions
  • New transactions for a connected account
  • Duplicate transactions
  • Edited or deleted transactions
  • Credit card (liability) account

To fix it, we can refer to this article to find the recommended fix for the mentioned reasons: Fix issues for accounts you've reconciled in the past in QuickBooks Online. It includes detailed steps to guide you in fixing your bank and QuickBooks balance.

Additionally, please remember that bank statements will always vary when you reconcile an account and only reconcile entries that show in your bank statement. Always compare the transactions on your statement with what's in QuickBooks; you can review them individually to avoid discrepancies.

I've also added the following articles for more details and fixes if you have reconciliation issues:

Once you've reconciled your account flawlessly, you can keep track of it by running the reconciliation report. See this article for further details: How do I view, print, or export a reconciliation report?

Send me a reply if you have clarification or information about managing your accounts in QuickBooks. Take care!
