Change G/L name in QBO of linked bank account

A client has several bank accounts that are linked .  I would like to change the account names in QB online to include the last 4 digits of the account number.  Can I simply change the name in the chart of accounts, or will that effect the bank feeds link?

Good day, dtaylorcpa.

 

Changing the account name won't affect the bank feeds. I'm here to walk you through the steps.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. From the Accounting tab, select Chart of accounts.
  2. Locate the linked account.
  3. Click the drop-down beside View register under ACTION.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Modify the Account name.
  6. Click Save.
