I want to make sure you're able to reconnect your Chase bank account to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), raferny.

To be sure we're on the same page, I'd like to confirm the difficulties you're encountering with reconnecting your Chase bank account. Did you receive any error messages? Any additional information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

If you encounter the message ‘Your Bank is making a change. Until you upgrade your bank connection, your transactions will stop automatically flowing into QuickBooks. To upgrade your connection, you will need to reconnect your account. (390)’’,  please follow these steps to reconnect your bank account:

  1. Log in to your QBSE account on an internet browser.
  2. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  3. Choose Bank accounts.
  4. Click Connect another account.
  5. In the search box, enter the name of the bank and account type, i.e Lloyds Bank Business, Lloyds Bank Personal or Lloyds Bank Commercial.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions to connect your account.

If you're using the QBSE mobile app, you can reconnect your bank account by following the steps detailed in this article: Reconnect your bank account in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

However, if the issue persists, I recommend checking your bank's website and confirming that you can sign in to your account. If you are able to sign in, look for any notifications or messages on their website about maintenance or security updates. These updates can sometimes interfere with connections to programs like QuickBooks.

Once your bank transactions download, you can now start categorizing them to straighten out your books.

Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions about reconnecting your bank account. I'm here to assist you in any way I can, raferny.
