Question

Chase CC w/ employee cards. I have to set up each account to download its activity separately. QBO won't let me label as sub accounts Solutions?

How can I make employee cards linked as sub accounts and thus aggregate their activity/ balances? QBO won't allow them to be labeled as sub Accounts given they directly download their activity.

I'll help you deal in connecting your employee cards as subaccounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @byroncrowley-gma.

Linking both parent accounts and subaccounts in QBO is not possible. If you attempt to, you'll receive an error message that the account is already connected.

Since you want to set up your employee cards as subaccounts to download each transaction separately, you just need to connect these subaccounts and not the parent account.

For more information about managing parent and subaccounts in QBO, please visit this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Once everything is fine and the transactions are already downloaded, you'll now have to categorize and match them to ensure they are allocated to the correct accounts.

I'm just around the corner if you have any other questions about linking your employees' cards to QBO. Don't hesitate to post again here. Keep safe and have a good one.
