An employees bank cashed their payroll check for $427.07 but it should've been $472.07.  The correction/adjustment has not made it to my bank statement yet, how do I reconcile my checking account?

It's a pleasure to have you in the Community today, @cochraneoffice. I'll share some insights about your situation and help you get this sorted out as soon as possible so you can proceed to reconcile your checking account in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Before anything else, I'll be providing you two options on how you can handle this without causing any issues on your end. The first option would be to wait until the correction or adjustment reflects on your bank statement, and then when this happens, you'll want to reconcile it in real life.

On the other hand, you can proceed and reconcile the transactions that you currently have on your end and then when the adjustment is available. You can generate it from your bank and have it reconciled in your QuickBooks Desktop.

In addition, you can visit this page to learn more about how to handle bank transactions in QBDT: Add and match Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.
