Yes, there's a way to create a new renaming rule and categorize the downloaded transactions, FLBill. Allow me to provide with thorough information so you can access it seamlessly.

When you create a renaming rule, it applies to transactions listed in the Downloaded Transactions window or to future downloads that you will upload in the future.

Now, to create a renaming rule, you have two options. In both cases, the first step is to go to Banking, then select Downloaded Transactions, and download or import transactions from your financial institution. If QuickBooks identifies a downloaded payee name that matches one of your vendors, it will automatically create a renaming rule.

Here's a way to create one:

  1. On the Downloaded Transactions window, click the Payee column next to a Downloaded Payee you want to create a rule for.
  2. In the Payee column select or enter the name you want to use for the downloaded payee. QuickBooks creates a new rule that renames the downloaded payee.
  3. If the account is not prefilled for you, select an account for the transaction.

Additionally, you can check this user guide outlined on page 179 to see another way to create a new rule: QuickBooks Desktop Mac User’s Guide.

Furthermore, refer to this article if you want to manage in renaming rules of payee: Manage renaming rules for payee names in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
