1/21/2022 I moved the American Express card over to the Catalyst Missions QuickBooks. There was a balance of $5,917.21. The other company paid the bill.  Not sure what I did but I need to fix it. The payment is showing from this account and my bank balance is off by $5917.21. How can I fix this

It was a journal entry and I guess I deleted it

We're happy to see you here today, @Joaniec. Allow me to help you recreate the journal entry in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to fix your bank account balance.

In QBO, you can utilize the audit log to recover the details of the deleted journal entry. This way, you can re-enter it and resolve the balance showing on your bank account. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Audit Log.
  2. In the Filter dropdown menu, choose the appropriate user, date, and event(s).
  3. Click Apply.
  4. Locate the deleted transaction. You may streamline the process by pressing Ctrl on your keyboard and typing deleted.
  5. Select View under the History column.
  6. The information needed for the transaction is found under the Event column. Using this, recreate the journal entry with its original transaction date.

Additionally, it's recommended to review your accounts in QBO to ensure they align with your bank statement.
