If I unlink my credit card account in quickbooks online and relink it will I lose previous data?

I got an error (9999) says we can't update your account and tells me to try updating again but is hasn't updated in weeks.

I'll provide details about disconnecting a credit card account in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and help you rectify the error (9999), Aboo38473yw.

 

As long as you categorize your transactions, you will not lose your existing accounting data even after disconnecting your credit card account from online banking. When you reconnect, you can choose the period when QBO starts pulling transactions. Some banks allow up to 90 days of transactions, while others can go back 24 months. To avoid duplicates, note the latest existing entry before reconnecting.

 

Since you encounter a bank connection error, we don't recommend disconnecting the account until it's fixed. The error 9999 is a script error that causes an interruption between the connection of your bank and QBO. Usually, updating the account manually by clicking the Update button should fix the issue. 

 

If not, you may sign in to your bank's website to check if they have any system maintenance.
 
If everything's fine on their end, open your QBO account using an incognito window to isolate the issue since it doesn’t store data in the cache. From there, update your credit card account manually.
