Credit card expenses going to wrong employee credit card accounts

Hi there, I am having an issue with credit card transactions from one or more employees showing up in another employees credit card account in quickbooks? It looks to be skewing our balances? Is this an issue that quickbooks has seen with other users in the past month or so?

Thanks for joining the Community, Jacki78.

Transactions go to the accounts your bank sends them to. It's possible you may have some rules in place that send these transactions to other accounts.

You can check by using your Gear icon, then going to Rules. From there, you can select a rule to edit or delete.

For the transactions that were downloaded into incorrect accounts, you can move them if necessary.

Here's how:

  1. In your left navigation bar, go to Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  2. Click the tile for an account you're working with.
  3. Access your Categorized tab.
  4. Find a transaction you want to move.
  5. Use the blue transaction link in your Added or Matched column. This will open the transaction.
  6. From your Account drop-down list, choose a new account for each item on the transaction. Be sure not to change your Payment account. You'll want to be aware the Category field only shows in deposits. Categories can't be changed for sales receipts.
  7. Select Save and close.

I've also included a couple detailed resources about moving transactions to other accounts and working with rules which may come in handy moving forward:
