Credit Card not listed for Bank Feed

Target Card Services (RedCard) downloads QuickBooks OFX data file.

I cannot find either Target Card Services or RedCard to set up the bank feed to import the OFX data.

If you know how to accomplish this please direct me.

Thank you

Hi Cherylle!

Thanks for reaching out to us. Let me help you in importing your transactions into QuickBooks Desktop.

I understand that you need to link your Target RedCard. I checked and verified that it's one of the unsupported financial services in QuickBooks Desktop.

For now, you'll want to manually bring in the transactions. Note that QuickBooks Desktop only supports QBO files when importing them. Go to the File menu, hover over Utilities, select Import, then Web Connect Files.

Also, I suggest you send feedback to our developers. Let them know that you need Target RedCard to be included in the list of participating financial institutions. Go to the File menu, select Send Feedback Online, then Product Suggestion.

I added this link if you need more help in setting up bank feeds: Set up bank accounts for Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Desktop. This includes articles on how to categorize transactions and edit the bank feed settings.

Post again here and I'll assist you if you have other concerns. Wishing you all the best!

Thanks for the suggestion. I will check it out for some other bank and credit cards that do not offer QuickBooks as a download option. I currently use the CVS format and then massage it to input, but importing correctly formatted data is much faster.

This problem is not with the format as it is formatted for QuickBooks but that I cannot find either Target Card Services or RedCard as a credit card that QuickBooks can set up with.

The procedure I have been using in place of directly importing transactions is by using Accountant Toolbox batch entry. I download the transactions into Excel then adjust the columns to match the fields for batch entry for credit cards, and then copy and paste the transactions. Next I manually enter the vendor name in the appropriate field and assign the COA for each line. Finally I accept the transactions.

This obviously works but is far more time consuming than a direct import.

Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions.
