Csv upload is not working. I use this to add cash transactions. The file is the exact same format that worked previously. Has something changed in csv upload?

Hi there, amit_tanwar. Let's make sure you can import those transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

To avoid errors when importing CSV files, only use the 3-column or 4-column formats. These are the only columns QuickBooks can handle and this order. I've attached a sample screenshot in CSV format below:

You should also keep the following things in mind:

• Any transactions with numbers in the Description column should be corrected.
• Remove any (0) zeros from the file. Leave those cells empty.
• They should only say "Credit" and "Debit," with no word "amount". If the word "amount" appears in the Credit or Debit column header, remove it.
• Make sure the dates are all in the same format. We recommend using: dd/mm/yyyy.
• Some financial institutions include the day of the week in the Date column (for example, 20/11/2018 TUE). the day of the week must be removed.
   

Furthermore, the transactions in the CSV files for credit card accounts might appear in reverse. For instance, deposits may appear as negative amounts because paying your credit card balance reduces your balance. Also, be sure to choose the appropriate credit card account (not a bank account) when uploading the file.
