I've got you covered in deleting bank accounts and transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @CG2022.

When disconnecting bank accounts, the application will automatically delete the transactions that need to be categorized in the For review tab. In this, you can follow these steps to start disconnecting your account:

  1. Go to the Banking tab and select Banking.
  2. Tap your bank account's tile and click the pencil icon.
  3. From there, select the Edit account info.
  4. Click the Disconnect this account on save checkbox. Keep in mind that if QuickBooks keeps downloading new transactions, you won't see this option. You can wait for a few minutes to try again.
  5. Then, Save and close.

If you happen to categorize some of its transactions, you can delete them permanently from the chart of accounts by manually removing them. Here's how:

  1. From the Chart of accounts, locate the account and select View Register.
  2. Select the transaction, then Delete. Repeat for all other transactions.

Once you decide to connect your bank account, you can refer to this article for complete guidelines: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

I'm always here if you need an extra pair of hands to manage your banking transactions. I'm hoping for your business to prosper!
