Deleted a Reconciled transaction from one year ago

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for support. I hope you're enjoying the day so far. I'm happy to lend a hand with your deleted reconciled transaction. 

Sometimes when we make mistakes, such as accidentally deleting a reconciled transaction, in QuickBooks Desktop, we can easily correct the error made by performing a mini reconcile. To do this, you'll just need to enter the transaction just as it was entered before (same date, person, amount, etc.) and reconcile that single transaction. This is called a mini reconcile. This method uses an "off-cycle" reconciliation date to make a correction. I've included some steps below to perform a mini rec. 

Once you've re-entered the deleted transaction, follow the steps below. 

1. From the Banking menu, choose Reconcile.

2. Pick the bank account with the transaction you need to reconcile. 
3. In the Date of Statement field, enter the date for an "off-cycle reconciliation". This date can be any date between your last reconcile and the next scheduled one. 
4. From the Ending Balance field, you'll need to enter the balance of your last successful reconciliation. Then hit Continue.

5. Then, in the Reconcile window, check off the transaction you're fixing and re-reconciling. 
6. Ensure the Difference field is showing $0.00.
7. When everything checks out ok, tap Reconcile Now. 

Please note: When you're entering an "off-cycle" date, QuickBooks will remind you that you're doing a mini rec. This will put previously unreconciled transactions back without affecting the "cycle" that they follow.
